Pitik for Hotone Ampero Mini ยท unofficial

Pitik requires installing modified firmware on your Ampero Mini using the Ampero Editor.

Pitik changes one thing on the Ampero Mini: the teal footswitch light (the colour the footswitches show in preset mode) becomes off or white. Green, red and blue stay as they are. GLOBAL > About shows which Pitik build is installed. Version , for Ampero Mini firmware only. (pitik is a flick, a pulse, a spark of light.)

Your file never leaves your browser. This page runs entirely on your device: nothing is uploaded, there is no tracking and no analytics, and it works offline. You can download this page (unzip it and open index.html) and use it without an internet connection.

1. Back up first

In the Ampero Editor, back up your presets. The editor cannot download Sound Clones or user IRs from the unit, so keep the original files of any you uploaded: they are what you would upload again if you ever need the recovery steps below.

2. Get the official firmware from Hotone

Download the Ampero Mini V2.2 firmware from Hotone's support page (hotone.com/support). You can drop the zip as it comes, or the file Ampero Mini_firmware_V2.2.bin inside it. We do not host Hotone's firmware; this page only works on that exact file and refuses any other. Keep a copy of Hotone's file: it is what you install to go back to stock, even if Hotone's download page changes.

3. Create your Pitik firmware

Photos of the same unit and camera settings. "White" is all three colours on; it looks pale mint because the green light is the brightest (the light has only on/off per colour, no brightness steps). Cameras show teal a little greener than it looks in person.

4. Install the modified firmware on your Mini

  1. Power the Ampero Mini off. Hold footswitch 1 (FS1) and power it on: it starts in update mode.
  2. Connect it to the computer by USB and open the Ampero Editor.
  3. The editor offers to install firmware on the unit in update mode. Choose the modified firmware file you downloaded (not Hotone's) and let it finish. Do not unplug or power off during the install.
  4. Wait for the editor to finish the install. If the screen stays black after the restart, power-cycle the Mini; this is expected. Then open GLOBAL > About: it shows V2.2 + Pitik ....

Going back to stock (recovery)

Do the same with Hotone's original Ampero Mini_firmware_V2.2.bin: power off, hold FS1, power on, install it from the Ampero Editor. This works even if the unit does not start normally, because update mode runs before the firmware. Restore your presets from your backup, and upload your Sound Clone and IR files again, if anything is missing.
